How It Started

Kyle Gale started Gale Electric in October 2020, which was not an obvious year to start anything. The plan was simple and it has not needed much revision. Do residential electrical work in the Tri-Cities, do it correctly, and charge what was quoted. No fleet, no franchise, no dispatch script. The company grew on referrals from people who had a bad experience somewhere else first. Five years in, a good share of our week still comes from a neighbor, a realtor, or a contractor telling somebody to call us.

Family-owned means something specific here. The owner is on the jobs, the phone gets answered by someone who knows what is on the schedule, and there is nobody in the middle whose job is to sell you more than you need. When you ask what something costs, you get a number. When you ask whether you actually need it, you get an honest read, including the times the honest read is that you should wait a year and spend the money on something else.

What We Actually Do

Panels, wiring, lighting, and the problems that do not have a name yet. In a normal week that looks like an electrical panel replacement in a Richland home built in the 1950s, recessed lighting in a Kennewick kitchen remodel, ceiling fans in a West Richland two-story, and a Pasco homeowner with a breaker that trips every time the dryer runs. Panel repair, ceiling fan installation, and chasing down wiring faults come up over and over in our reviews, and they come up over and over in the schedule.

We also do the unglamorous half. Adding outlets where the builder was stingy, correcting work a previous owner did themselves, getting a house up to code before it sells, hot tub and EV charger circuits, shop and outbuilding power, and exterior lighting. If it is residential and it involves wire, it is in scope. If it is genuinely outside what we do, we say so instead of learning on your house, and we will usually know somebody who is a better fit for it.

How We Price And Schedule

Estimates are free, including the trip out. We look at the actual conditions rather than guessing over the phone, and give you a written price before anything starts. Cost and the quoting process come up in our reviews as often as anything, which tells you how rare a straight number still is in this trade. If the job turns out smaller than it looked, the price goes down. If we find something behind the wall that changes the scope, you hear about it before we keep going, not on the invoice.

We are open seven days a week, 8AM to 5PM, including Saturday and Sunday. We are not a 24-hour outfit and we do not pretend to be, because an electrician who has been awake for twenty hours is not who you want in your panel. Same-day and next-day appointments are usually available inside those hours, weekends included, which covers most of what people call emergencies. Anything involving fire, smoke, or a downed line is a 911 call or a utility call first, and we will still be here after.
